  • How do you package Harvey's beers?

    All of our packaging is eco-friendly and we ship in bespoke home delivery boxes which are made of the highest grade cardboard outer's and dividers. Our packing filler consists of biodegradable chips, and boxes are held together with paper tape. Packages are shipped on a glass sensitive, hand sorted next day delivery service.

  • Why does UK postage cost £7.95?

    The price of our beers online are exactly the same price as you would find them in our Brewery Shop in Lewes. This being the case you can trust us when we say we're not inflating our online beer prices to absorb extra promotional costs or courier fees.

    £7.95 is the genuine cost of the postage to us including a little in there for our packaging. We feel that you shouldn't have to pay more to buy more from us, so if you take advantage of our £7.95 flat fee, multi-buy tool delivery rate, we take on the cost of the courier for the extra items ourselves.

    Sending glass bottles and live beer is riskier and generally more costly to send due to possible breakages, but we're always trying to keep an eye on our courier costs and make savings where possible.
  • How do I return bottles to you?

    We're really proud to still be the only UK brewer operating a returnable bottle scheme. We estimate we get 4-5 trips out of each of our bottles on average thanks to our customers bringing them back to us.

    To get them to us you can:

    • Bring them to the brewery shop, and we'll credit deposits off your next order.
    • Ordering online: if you qualify for Harvey’s Direct Delivery our driver can collect your bottles on your next Harvey's delivery - email shop@harveys.org.uk for more information on how to do this.
    • We understand that returning the bottles to us isn't always possible, if this is the case please recycle them at your nearest recycling facility.
  • Can I find your beer in supermarkets?

    No. We feel that seeing Harvey's in supermarkets would undermine the hard work of our hospitality industry which constantly competes with the lower prices of supermarket alcohol offers, whereby it is often sold as a loss leader. We value our product and pub trade, and we're happy that you can find Harvey's in our own pubs, our shop, free houses, and independent off-licenses and shops.

  • I would like to buy a Brewery Tour

    Our Brewery Tours are free but there is a waiting list, and unfortunately due to the Covid_19 pandemic this will take us some time to work through once we're back up and running again. Please follow this link for further information: Harvey's Brewery F.A.Qs

  • Why do you only deliver to selected postcodes locally?

    We're working on this! We started with a man in a van doing deliveries in Lewes on Fridays and since the pandemic this has increased to selected TN, BN, and RH postcodes. They are pretty big areas and difficult to reach the whole area and get back in a day, whilst also trying to keep costs down. We are looking at other options for this though so watch this space.   • Do you deliver outside of the UK?

    I'm afraid we don't for a few reasons. Sending alcohol overseas is risky for the sender and the courier, it's expensive, and the amount of time it takes to do (we have tried in the past) really isn't feasible for us to operate this as a service.

    Additionally we're a local brewery and until recently have only really distributed within a 60 miles radius of the brewery, so from a sustainable point of view keeping our beers in the UK has less impact on the environment.

    A good friend will definitely be able to bring you a few over on their next trip!

  • Can I make up my own beer selection?

    Unfortunately not online. Beer selection cases are prepacked in our warehouse and packed by the case, therefore we are unable to make up bespoke beer selection packs at this time. We offer a range of prepacked selection cases online that we hope will suit a range of tastes and budgets.

  • Where can I find your Spirits, Cigars and Wines?

    Unfortunately we can’t list everything online that is available in our Lewes Brewery Shop. If there is something you’re after specifically please email us and we’ll help as much as we can.

  • Are your beers Vegan/Vegetarian?

    At the moment they're not, we use isinglass finings as a filtration method in our beers. Change is on the horizon for our packaged products and hopefully we can have more on this for you soon.

  • Can I get a discount?

    If you're looking for a discount code, when we offer these we send them out via email and then on our social media channels where appropriate.
