25th Anniversary commemorative brew.
On the 12th October 2000, the River Ouse flooded Lewes. Before staff were evacuated, the day's half completed brews were combined and left to ferment while the river raged beneath.
'Ouse Booze' was later bottled and sold in aid of the Flood Appeal.
The Newhaven Dieppe ferry had reported our casks floating out to sea.
25 years on, this replica brew recalls these events. Brewed using the same techniques, malt, and hops sourced from the original growers, the beer is smooth and full bodied, with a gentle sweetness and abundant hop character.
